Hormone Replacement Therapy & Pellet Therapy

Hormonal balance is the foundation of long-term health, energy, and vitality. At Infinite Youth Medical Spa, our hormone replacement therapy is designed to address the root cause of common symptoms associated with aging, stress, and metabolic changes by restoring hormones to optimal—not just normal—levels.

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and bioidentical pellet therapy provide a personalized, medically guided approach to improving how you feel day-to-day. By carefully evaluating your symptoms, lifestyle, and laboratory markers, we create individualized treatment plans that support energy, mental clarity, body composition, sleep quality, and sexual wellness while promoting healthy aging from the inside out.

What hormones do we evaluate?

Our hormone replacement therapy process begins with a comprehensive evaluation to understand your unique hormonal profile. While testing is personalized to each patient, common hormones and markers we assess may include:

  • Testosterone
  • Estradiol (Estrogen)
  • Progesterone
  • DHEA (Dehydroepiandrosterone)
  • Thyroid function markers

Evaluating these hormones allows us to identify imbalances, optimize treatment safely, and create a personalized plan designed around your symptoms, goals, and long-term wellness.

Pellet therapy is a form of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) that delivers consistent hormone levels through tiny pellets placed just beneath the skin. These plant-derived hormones are structurally identical to those naturally produced by the body.

Unlike creams, pills, or injections that may cause hormone fluctuations, pellets release a steady dose over time, helping maintain balanced levels without the hassle daily dosing or peaks and crashes.

Common hormones used in pellet therapy may include:

  • Testosterone (for both men and women)
  • Estrogen

Treatment is always customized based on lab results, symptoms, and individual goals.

Hormone optimization can support a wide range of symptoms affecting both women and men, including:

  • Low energy or chronic fatigue
  • Brain fog or reduced mental clarity
  • Mood swings, anxiety, or irritability
  • Difficulty losing weight or increased body fat
  • Reduced muscle tone or strength
  • Poor sleep or insomnia
  • Hot flashes or night sweats (women)
  • Low libido or sexual dysfunction
  • Hair thinning or skin changes

Getting started is a structured, personalized process designed to ensure safety, precision, and optimal results. Here’s what to expect:

1. Initial Consultation (Virtual or In-Clinic)

Your journey begins with a one-on-one consultation either virtually or in our clinic. We will review your symptoms, health goals, medical history, and determine whether hormone therapy and pellet treatment may be appropriate for you.

If indicated, custom lab work will be ordered to evaluate hormone levels, metabolic markers, and overall health status. These labs help us create a safe and highly personalized treatment plan.

2. In-Office Lab Review & Pellet Placement

Your second appointment takes place in clinic. During this visit, we will review your lab results together, discuss your treatment plan in detail, and confirm candidacy for pellet therapy. If appropriate, pellet insertion is performed during this same appointment. The procedure is quick, minimally invasive, and completed in-office.

3. Post-Pellet Follow-Up (Optimization Visit)

At week 4, follow-up labs will be obtained to evaluate how your body is responding to therapy and ensure hormone levels are moving into an optimal range. At week 5 we will have another office visit to assess your symptoms, review lab results together, and determine whether any hormone boost or adjustments are needed to fine-tune your results.

Ongoing Maintenance Appointments

Once optimized, pellet therapy becomes a maintenance-based treatment:

  • Females: typically return every 3–4 months for pellet therapy
  • Males: typically return every 4–6 months for pellet therapy

Timing may vary depending on metabolism, lifestyle factors, and symptom response.

Following pellet insertion, most patients return to normal daily activities quickly; however, temporary activity modifications help ensure proper healing and optimal pellet absorption.

Activity Guidelines (First 5–7 Days)

  • Avoid strenuous activity (exercise, lifting, or pressure on the incision site) for the first 5 days
  • Limit swimming, hot tubs, or soaking baths until the insertion site is fully healed (showers are allowed)

Mild soreness, bruising, or tenderness at the insertion area is normal and typically resolves within several days. Our team will provide detailed aftercare instructions at your appointment.

HRT and pellet therapy are generally well tolerated when medically supervised. Side effects may vary depending on the hormone used, dose, and individual response.

Common Pellet Insertion Site Reactions

  • Temporary soreness
  • Bruising
  • Mild swelling
  • Redness or tenderness

These typically resolve within several days.

General Hormone-Related Side Effects

  • Fluid retention or bloating
  • Acne or skin changes
  • Breast tenderness (women)
  • Mood changes during adjustment phase
  • Increased body hair or oiliness (with testosterone therapy in some patients)
  • Changes in menstrual cycle (perimenopausal women)

Less Common Side Effects

  • Headaches
  • Sleep changes during dose adjustment
  • Temporary shifts in libido or energy while levels stabilize

Not everyone is an ideal candidate for hormone therapy. Contraindications or situations requiring additional evaluation may include:

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Active hormone-sensitive cancers (depending on type and physician guidance)
  • Untreated severe medical conditions

A comprehensive consultation and medical review are required before starting therapy.
